Ex- Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the 45 charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
