In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe

• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
